The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man following a traffic complaint last night in Blenheim.

Around 8:15 p.m. a Blenheim youth was standing on the grass boulevard near John Street and Hall Street. The man approached the youth in his vehicle and accelerated into the oncoming lane. He drove directly towards the youth, passing and narrowly missing him. The man squealed his tires and circled around the block. As he returned to the youth’s location, he threatened him and then sped away.

The youth reported the incident as he knew the man responsible. Just before 10:30 p.m. officers located the man on Talbot Trail and he was taken into custody.

The 22-year-old Blenheim man has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and uttering threats. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
