Two people are facing possession charges after Chatham-Kent police executed a drug warrant on a Terry Street residence in Wallaceburg yesterday.

A 28-year-old Chatham man and a 24-year-old woman have a future court date.

Truck stolen

Police are looking for a stolen pickup, and the person who drove off with it, after someone sped off with another person’s vehicle last night from Young’s Variety on Longwoods Road.

Police say about 9 p.m., an unknown suspect hopped into an unlocked 2001 Chevy Silverado and took off.

The black extended cab truck was last seen heading east on Longwoods Road.

It had Ontario plates AC74212 at the time of the theft.

Sneaker thief

Someone may have an odd fetish here, or just really needed running shoes as about yesterday afternoon, a person stole a gym bag and five pairs of running shoes.

Police say someone entered an unlocked garage on Greenfield Line in Chatham about 1 p.m. and stole a Good Life gym bag, as well as two pairs of men’s running shoes and three pairs of ladies’ runners.
