Police stopping at a donut shop can be a good thing. Last night at the Keil Drive Tim Hortons, an officer recognized a man on the Chatham-Kent police’s wanted list.

The 27-year-old Chatham man received an early Christmas present in the form of stainless steel bracelets and a night in jail.

Police say on Sept. 28, a man grabbed a woman by the neck and pushed her up against a wall after an argument turned ugly. He left the residence before police arrived, and police had been looking for their suspect ever since.

He was wanted for assault and overcome resistance to commit an offence, as well as breaching his probation order.
