Volunteers from the Anglican community in Chatham-Kent (Christ Church, Holy Trinity, St. Paul’s and St. Thomas) came together to host their first community fundraiser, an all you can eat fish fry Dinner Sept. 12 that served 519 dinners and raised nearly $7,100 in support of the Chatham-Kent Hospice.

Pictured with the big cheque, from left, are Jane Currie from St. Paul’s; Rev. Paul Millward from Christ Church; John Case, chair of the capital campaign for the Chatham-Kent Hospice; Pastor Eric Skillings, faith community liaison for Chatham-Kent Hospice; John Wilcox, event chair and Joy Cudney, St. Thomas Church Ward (Dover).

Organizers want to thank the community for its support, Pastor Skillings for cooking the perch and several local businesses for their sponsorship of the event.
